An anti-fog mirror is designed to remain easier to see when a bathroom becomes steamy. Instead of wiping the glass after a hot shower, the mirror uses a heating element behind the glass to reduce condensation on its surface.
The feature is also called a defogger or demister. It is commonly built into LED bathroom mirrors but can also be included in mirrors without integrated lighting.

How Does an Anti-Fog Mirror Work?
Mirror fog forms when warm, moisture-filled air touches cooler glass. The water vapor cools and becomes many tiny droplets that cover the surface and blur the reflection.
A demister pad warms the glass in front of it, making condensation less likely to form in that area. The mirror does not remove moisture from the bathroom; it simply keeps the heated section warmer than the surrounding unheated glass.
The time needed to clear the mirror can vary with room temperature, humidity, heating-pad size, and when the function is switched on.
